Activity 3: Feast or Famine [6 points]
Julian Dennison is a very funny guy! He is from Lower Hutt, near Wellington. He is only 17 years old but he has already starred in a number of movies and TV commercials. You may have seen him on Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Deadpool, or in the Lynx ads.
Julian is not only a funny actor. He recently joined up with World Vision to be a 40 Hour Famine Ambassador. He travelled with World Vision to Uganda to meet some of the refugees from South Sudan who are living there. Check out this video.
I would defiantly participate because my mum did it when she was little and she said it was kinda easy.I think doing it is a great way to help out with money for charty. Trying new things is really good especially if its for charty.I think it would be fun but difficult at the same time.Just think of what you could do for the charty. So yes i would do it if i had a chance to.

  1. Ata Mārie Courtney,

I really enjoyed reading your blog post today about the 20/40 hour famine. I think it is such a great way to bring awareness and raise money for charity.

Thank you for sharing about why you would love to take part in the 40 hour famine. I think it is so cool that you have such strong feelings and have taken a strong stance ein what you believe in and what you want to do to help other people.

I really enjoyed reading about why you would want to take part, I think it is so awesome that mum has taken part before and you’ll be able to share this with her. I have done it a few times before, I did it with a group of friends so that made it more fun and motivating, maybe that’s something you could also think about.

Did you know that the 40 hour famine isn’t just going out food for 40 hours you can also go without something else of your choosing. For example, your phone, the TV, completely up to you. If you had, what would you choose?

    Ngā Mihi,
    Kueni.
