DAY 2: CRACKING THE CODE

Activity 1: Through Careful Observation [4 points]
There are many incredible people in history who have changed the world. Some have changed what we know about the world and about how it works. We often call these people ‘scientists’ or ‘theorists.’ Famous scientists include Sir Isaac NewtonCharles DarwinAlbert EinsteinKatherine FreeseMaria Goeppert Mayer and Sau Lan Wu.
Each of these scientists came up with a new theory (idea) about how things work. Much of what they discovered came from observing (watching) things closely.
I see a flock of birds gliding over a neighborhood but they're merging in to the ground of shapes
bellow there are two side of this picture one is what seems to be a kingdom of riches and the other side seems to be the less wealthy side just from what i see in the houses

  1. Ata Mārie Courtney,

Well done on having a go at Week 3, Day 2, Activity 1. I like that you chose MC Escher’s painting: Day and Night. Is there a particular reason you chosen his picture over Vincent van Goghs?

What a great start you have made at describing the painting in detail. This activity asks you to write about it with lots of detail, so could you have another go at this activity please, then I can award you full points for this activity.

Maybe you can come up with around 5-6 sentences describing this painting. Think about the colours, what you can see, what it reminds you of, anything. Spend some time looking at this painting and you could even brainstorm some ideas before you write about it. Also the link to the picture isn’t working, maybe go into this post and see if you can make it available to see.

I look forward to reading an updated post for this activity,
    Ka kite ano.

    Kueni :)
