Activity 3: Belle of the Ball [6 points]
Emma Watson is a movie star who started acting in films when she was just nine years old. You might recognise her as Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter films or ‘Belle’ from the Disney adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.
When Emma is not acting, she spends a lot of time giving speeches and advocating for the rights of women and girls. In 2014 she launched the HeForShe campaign which encourages men and boys to actively support women and girls by speaking out about gender equality - the idea that males (men) and females (women) have the same rights. Emma is also an avid reader who started her own worldwide book club!
Let’s imagine that Emma has just emailed you and asked for your help. She needs a recommendation for a great book for her book club. She also needs you to prepare a short review of the book to share with her readers.
My favorite book is 13 story tree house series it is about these two characters Andy and terry who get into all sorts of trouble in there tree house and they always end up solving the problems they also have some friends as in animals these are probably more than 2 thousand animals living there because of there human friend Jill she loves pets she can communicate with animals she is a big reason terry and Andy have there problems fixed a different main character is Mr big nose as you can probably tell by the name he has a out of the ordinary nose so big that when he has video calls about terry and Andy handing in there finished book because he is there manager they always get there on time to deliver the book to Mr big nose.As the story reaches an end they make a picture in the book of them making more stories to the tree house 13 exactly.

Kia Ora Courtney,
ReplyDeleteI decided to come back over to your blog, and I'm so impressed with your effort! Have you enjoyed the journey so far?
Woah, that is one long and amazing review! I like how you included a picture of the book and a really descriptive review. I've seen those books in the library before, and I've never really gravitated towards them. Your review really makes me want to give the book a go! I laughed when you said stuff about 'Mr Big Nose'! Seems like Andy and Terry are two problem solving kids. Are you good at solving problems? Other people tell me I am, but I think I have a tendency to just keep asking questions!
I don't really have one favourite book, but one of my favourite authors is Jacqueline Wilson. Have you ever heard of her?
Who is the author of the Tree House books? I wish I was able to communicate with animals, Jill seems so clever to be able to do that! Do you wish you could communicate with animals too?
Keep up the effort Courtney! I love reading your blog posts, and I'm excited to hear about your progress.
